Appears on the unattached list from 31/1/18 (made 2/Lt. on this date) - 7/2/18 & then attached to the 2/5th. Gurkha Rifles.

Thanks Maddys52, did not find those 2 can you send me copy of each please, just trying to fill in the gaps of his life, must have had problems in India?

No worries, I'll pm you as I think the attachments are a bit big for here.

Whilst I have no idea what happened to Eric in particular, I often think it must be very difficult for those born into high achieving and well known families as his was. Living up to expectations must put a lot of pressure on individuals, especially if they don't necessarily wish to follow the path laid out for them by family and tradition.

Thanks Jim for info, yes Maddys52, his other brother left the Army after his fathers death in 1930 & became a vet.
No Army records for him at Kew or British Library, stored in London gutted by fire 1940/41 as were so many WWI records
