Frederick William Eastwood Q1 1878 Birmingham
« on: Tuesday 14 August 18 12:47 BST (UK) »
The above was the son of William Charles Eastwood and Clara nee Cox bc1854. It seems that Clara left William after 1881 and before 1889 to live with Tom Evans bc1850 and they are on the 1891 census with Fred and brother Charles but all recorded as Evans. By 1901 Frederick has disappeared whereas Clara, Tom and Charles were at Blackpool, Lancashire?
At 1911 Clara and Tom are together still in Blackpool, as is Charles but is now married and at a different address.
Incidentally I can't find Clara or Tom's passing?

Did William and Clara divorce???
William seems to have remarried in 1889

Did Clara remarry - only reference I could find was she married 1877 -but that was to William

Both of them married again but later, I think Clara recorded herself as married on the censuses but married in 1918?

Thomas Evans age 71 Jan 1920 Fylde 8e 778

Clara Evans age 78 Dec 1933 Birkenhead 8a 701 (maybe as her son lived in Cheshire???)

I think Tom's passing is correct but don't think the same for Clara, she was b and bapt 1854 and as far as I can see most of her grandchildren lived in Blackpool and of course Charles, her son passed away there too in 1944. Unless Frederick moved to Cheshire?

The clara death puts her birth c 1855 -which as we know age at death is only what the informant knows
Might be worth getting the online cert (£6) to check She could have moved during the 13 years after Thomas' death

Thank you Suz but don't want to spend £6 if it comes to nothing.
