A very big thank you, yes that is my grandfather, the past few days have been somewhat emotional by one the help I have received on this forum by very kind people like yourself and also finding this information out about his family.  In 1911 he ran away from home, from what he said due to he poverty and joined the British Army to get a meal each day and have a solid pair of boots, as many other dear Irish boys did during this time.  I am looking to trace direct descendants and would love to pay them a visit, I have always been told I am so much like him so it would be interesting to meet members of the family and see if we share common traits.  Once again so very grateful you took the time to help.   :) :) :)
