Registry offices

If a person died in any of the following which registry office do I need to contact please. (A) Romford (B)  Bethnal Green)  (C). Willesden. Thankyou.

If in doubt, simply contact the GRO? ;D

Personally, I use FreeBMD to find Births, Marriages and Deaths.
I then order certificates through the GRO (£9.25 including P&P).
Ordering through a District Registrar usually costs £10+ with P&P added.

Willesden was Willesden upto 1965, now it's Brent

Romford is now covered by Havering Registration District.

Bethnal Green is now covered by Tower Hamlets.

If you are talking pre 1958 you can get a pdf death certificate from the GRO for £6.

Thankyou everyone for your replies. All I know about the person I am looking for is that he died between 1903 and 1930 and his occupation was commercial travaller. So have made a note of areas he might have been , my idea is to contact each registry offices to try and find out which holds the correct certificate. Then apply for it, there is no way I can afford to buy all the deaths I have located in the correct time scale. Regards Eirwen

If you were to give his name, year and place  of birthperhaps somone can help you narrow down his death date.
