Who Were The Spouses of James Leigh and John Oliver?
« on: Wednesday 15 August 18 16:51 BST (UK) »
A previous topic identified:
James Leigh (bachelor, coachman, of Heaton Mersey) married Mary Elizabeth Oliver (spinster, of Didsbury) at St James', Didsbury on 30 August 1876.
His father: James Leigh, joiner.
Her father: John Oliver, foreman.

On further searching for the spouses of the respective fathers I have failed. Help please.

Thanks for the link. :)
Difficult to work out otherwise.

Handson,
Does this christening fit with James birthplace from census? Mother’s name is Ruth.

maiden name from Mary Elizabeth's birth registration is Green. Marriage 30 June 1840 in Prestbury parish church, Cheshire for John Higginbotham Oliver, labourer, father Abel Oliver, schoolmaster and Eliza Green, no father given, both of Hurdsfield, witnesses Uriah Arnold & Benjamin Green. Eliza signs but John makes his mark which strikes me as odd for the son of a schoolmaster.
