Hello,
I am currently searching for any information regarding my ancestor Jabez Franks who perished aboard HMS Cressy in 1914. Jabez was a Stoker 1st class, I was wondering what this job role would entail?
I also have Jabez’s service records and notice on a few occasions in remarks it states ‘7 days cells’ or ‘14 day cells’ what would have led to him being imprisoned?
Any information is welcomed, I am commissioning an art work in memorial of Jabez this September. Thanks in advance!!!!

I am Zoe Northeast, granddaughter of Maximilian Double.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
