FindMyPast have baptisms for Westerham - William Bateman shown bc.1873 Westerham on 1881 census is:

William Robert Bateman bp.2/3/1873 Westerham, son of Sarah Ann Bateman.

No baptism for James alas!

Think you've reached a point where only a certificate can help you.  Mother may, or may not, be Sarah Ann Bateman but the only way you are going to find out the name of 'Mr' Bartholomew, (father), is from the birth certificate as it's clear parents were not married and the child not baptised.

The birth registration is available from the GRO website as a PDF (£6) instead of £9.25 for a paper certificate
