Hello Joyce,

Have you searched in Durham for any children for Nathan and Elizabeth ?

The Nathan Sharp born abt 1815 buried Wortley is possibly the Son of a Joseph Sharp!

Maybe worth checking if any of the below information ties in with your Sharp family!

James Sharp bap 14 July 1700 Armley - Father Nathan Sharp

Son Nathan Sharp Bap 28 Jan 1737 at Armley - death 1828 aged 92 Armley.

A Nathan Sharp married 3 June 1766 at Saint Peters Leeds to Rose Colbert.  I cannot find any information at the moment on a Rose Colbert or a death for a Rose Sharp!!

Possible siblings! All with Father Nathan and all of Armley.
Nathan bap 25 Dec 1768 Baptism Place St Peters Church Leeds
John Bap 2 Dec 1770
James Bap 10 Mar 1773
Susanna Bap 16 Nov 1775 died 1777
Elizabeth Bap 3 Sept 1780
Joseph Bap 12 Jan 1783 died 1787
Hannah Bap 8 Jan 1786 died 1795
Mary Bap 8 Feb 1789

Best Wishes
Lynn

Lynn and Calverley Lad

Thank you both. I'll get stuck into Wortley and the early Sharps tomorrow.

I did look for any Sharp children from the supposed 1806 marriage in Northumberland and Durham, but couldn't identify any.  There's always the possibility that if they are the couple I'm looking for, they had no children.
