Regiment? Date?
« on: Friday 17 August 18 20:01 BST (UK) »
Hi
I wonder if anyone would be able to put a date on this photo and maybe identify the regiment?

Original was found in a very bad state hidden behind another photograph. I have had it restored and this is the proof that has been sent today.

Thanks for looking

The cap badge isn't very clear, but it does look rather like a prancing horse so it could be one of the Kent regiments.  Perhaps the Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment.
Please help me to help you by citing sources for information.

I would agree, haven't seen anything else that looks close. The family are from Kent so would make sense. Thank you.

I would guess at early WW1, no later as none are wearing Medal Ribbons.

Hi, if it helps they are wearing pre 1916 tunics, (tho that doesn't necessarily mean the photograph is pre 1916, and one of the men was a Territorial soldier as he wears the Imperial Service badge.

I agree with  philipsearching regarding cap badge

That's really interesting - which one is the Territorial?
