Margaret McGlynn (c1870s-1890s?)
« on: Saturday 18 August 18 14:16 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I was hoping someone can help me find some records for a Margaret McGlynn. She was the first wife of Andrew Gonoude who was born 15/03/1870 in Tullamore to William and Catherine Gonoude (ms Ryan).

Margaret and Andrew had at least three children:

Mary Kate Gonoude b. 17/05/1891 d. 05/07/1892
William Gonoude b. 19/10/1892 d. unknown
Mary Ellen Gonoude b. 14/05/1895 d. 13/09/1983

Andrew remarried in Scotland in 1902 and his marital status is recorded as a widower. So Margaret must have died some time between 1895-1902. I actually think it was 1901 or earlier though, as Mary Ellen is on the 1901 Scotland Census living with Andrew's two sisters. However I cannot find a record of her death. Nor can I find the record of her and Andrew's marriage, or her birth.

Can anyone help please?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have already checked the Irish Geneology website though, that's where I found the info on Andrew's birth and their children. It's the birth, marriage and death of Margaret McGlynn I am trying to find.
