Would be eternally grateful if someone can locate Minnie Thomas (nee Kite) born in Dover, and family in Nottingham area - probably Beeston - in 19ll.  Here's hoping.

Hi Rosie99,

Only trace of her in Family Search is her birth in Dover C1882.  In 1901 she is living in Woolwich with her sister, Amy Thomas, having married the brother of her sister's husband Arthur. Don't know Minnie's sister's husbands first name. Several male sons in the Thomas family, who came from Liverpool. Both men were away serving with the Royal Artillery in the Second Boer War. Minnie seems to have disappeared after 190l. Minnie was one of four sisters, and I have photograph of them all taken when they were all in their 80s.

Why are you looking for her in Nottinghamshire and is Liverpool significant?

This family are in Whittington, Lichfield, Staffordshire in 1911 & Minnie is born about 1882 in Dover.

This is sister’s marriage so above marriage looks good. Perhaps she was just dittoed as ‘Thomas’.

If the above is the correct Minnie, then she died as Minnie Tungate in Lichfield R/D in Dec 1981, she was born 23 Nov 1881.

She is widowed on the 1939 register and is still Lichfield R/D
