Woods of Cootehill brick wall
« on: Monday 20 August 18 17:13 BST (UK) »
Looking for any information re William Robert Woods born Cootehill, Cavan, I think, 1844.  His father, Robert, according to marriage records was a farmer.  Strangely, I have silhouette portraits of his unknown grandparents.  William Robert was a postal sorter living and married in Bethnal Green in 1868.

Yes I realised that but 1911 shows him (if I have the right one) as born Monaghan so I posted it.
It is only a suggestion -I did say ‘ maybe’.  :)

Thanks for the input.  I know he lived in Bethnal Green and his daughtet, my grandmother, was proud of being a Cockney, and he returned to Ireland. He lived in Warrenpoint in 1911.

It is becoming increasingly obvious how much of a mongrel I am!
