Evelyn travelled to Canada with her young son R who was just over 1 year old. He would have been born in England.

This link is to the Pier 21 website. Pier 21 is where the war brides entered Canada. They have a research section which might be of help.

Henderson directories

They list people, businesses, civic and other institutions.

I believe they date up to about 1965.

I found what my Grandfather was doing and where him and his family lived in the 1920s thanks to the directories, this was on a year by year basis and not just via census records
