Re Irishgenealogy.ie, ive been getting this Not Secure your connection is not private etc notice when i try to access the site since Saturday 25th Aug, i thought it might have been fixed today Monday 27th or maybe its just my laptop.

I use Chrome but it was the much the same message on Edge browser. This morning 28th Aug i see its back for me. If others hadn't a problem accessing the site maybe it was just my anti-virus blocking it for some reason but we're back in action now.

I doubt if the "Not secure..." message is anything to do with tracking cookies. I think it's more to do with whether the connection is HTTP or HTTPS.

Scrolling back through the posts i see that Heywood 21st Aug posted the same message as i was getting "This connection is not private etc" . I think the site had issues with Phishing emails, maybe that had something to do with it but its working fine for me now.

I agree but I just posted that to ease minds. No one is collecting data there.
