Vincent
« on: Wednesday 22 August 18 16:49 BST (UK) »
Hello
I have hit a brickwall with a George H Vincent born  sept quarter 1915 in Newcastle upon Tyne.
His parents were George Thomas Vincent and Mary Culley lived Elswick Newcastle upon Tyne.

I have searched all the marriage certs I can  and death ones but can find nothing.

Searched passenger lists but no joy there.
I must be looking in the wrong places. Hoping someone can help me with this problem.

Are you looking for more information about George Vincent b. 1915, or about his parents?

His parents' marriage is easily found on freeBMD.

There is a George H Vincent born August 1915 (hence would fit the Q/E Sept 1915 birth) -- on the 1939 Register -- living in Crosby, Liverpool.

It is of course possible that it is a different George H Vincent -- but the one in Northumberland seems to be the only one in the country born in that quarter end and year.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Its the son George H I am seeking.

If you know his exact date of birth you can do a search on the 1939 register to see if the one Pennines found is your man.

Strange - as there is a death (Mar/Ap/MAy1976)  for a George ALBERT Vincent with dob 5th Aug 1916 in Crosby.

Is the 1939 entry def George H, or could it be George A?
