The one in Crosby sounds like the one

I would want much more evidence. I am not convinced that the middle initial is 'H'.

I have just checked there were barracks  near Crosby but I do know George H was born Sept  Quarter Newcastle upon tyne may of been in Elswick area.

There is a George Vincent (no middle initial) who died in Q1 1917 aged 1, Newcastle on Tyne.

I'd stick that in the 'possibles' box to explore if nothing else comes up and then if I was really stuck would ask for a checking point and say that I wanted the cert if it is a match with the father being George Thomas.

There is one George H with the mother Mary Culley sept quart.1915 NUT.
Father George Thomas mother Mary Culley George Thomas parents were James Vincent and Mary
George Thomas had a brother James Vincent all born in NUT.

Thank you never thought of that just thought I had to buy the certificate as I have quite few I have bought in the past and not turned out to be the right people.

Bear in mind when searching the 1939 register, that your George Henry was born in 1915 and if he was in the forces in September 1939 he will not be listed.
I'd look for his parents (unless you already know they died before then?) and see where they were living, then I'd try the Newcastle electoral rolls on Ancestry for just before and just after the war.

If you don't have a sub to ancestry then your local library may well provide access on the premises.
