Accounts rather than biographies - you will have seen them by searching,
E.g. ‘he married twice ...’

Right understand what you mean. For a minute though thought that you may have read a biography as Squire did write books and was a member of the astronomical society. I bet Slack wasn't a mariner! All most fascinating though and I will have to amend my article accordingly.

Hi,

Just to complete the picture regarding Edith's half brother - Charles Beresford Lecky -

He married in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on 30 December 1891 to Lottie Lowell Greenwood Lyle - he was 28 she was 20.

He died in Havant, Hampshire 15 Oct 1914 and she died there on 9 Feb 1936.

Hope this helps

Alan

Thanks for that Alan, what anout Edith's children? Did the Captain for instance survive the war? I hasten to add that I have finished my article though, updated of course adding the divorce. Well it spiced it up a bit.

Thanks

Hi,

From Free BMD records you can see that the children married - I am not going to publish details in case we infringe Rootschat's  policy on living persons.

I will leave you to do any further research yourself.

Alan
