So there wouldn't be any extra records about the movement of the body? And no particular restrictions during the war?

As far as I am aware there has never been any restrictions to transportation of bodies. I think the only chance of finding any details  would be via the undertakers records, and since you are talking about an event over of  a hundred years ago I think any chance would be extremely remote.

Thanks for that jebber. It was the actual paper work and any restrictions i was interested in more than the physical ease of moving the body.

It was very early on in the war, only just after people realised it wasn't going to be over by Christmas 1914.
