Mary Ann Elizabeth Balne - marriage

This Mary Ann Elizabeth Balne probably married one of the following people
Name   Thomas William Armstrong
Name   Charlotte Constance Hearn
Name   Anne Maria Lane
Name   Edward Taylor

However, in BMD, under Balne,

I think that FS must be wrong, because under 1d 437 in Lambeth, I find these names:
Balne    Mary Ann Elizabeth        Lambeth    1d   437   
Card            William                        Lambeth    1d   437   
Carter    William                        Lambeth    1d   437    
Taylor    Susannah Elizabeth Gibbon Lambeth    1d   437

So it looks as if she married William Card or William Carter. It seems unlikely that they had children, as she was baptised in Nov 1806. There's a death of a Mary Ann E Carter aged 84 in Wandsworth in 1889, which could possibly be her, if she was baptised late. There are various other Mary Ann Carter and Card deaths on FS, but none have the third name beginning "E", or the dates or places seem less likely.

Just wondering whether anyone has any other suggestions?

William Carter, full age, widower, salesman, of Gibion Street, father Daniel Carter, Carman
to
Mary Ann Elizabeth Balne, full age, spinster, of Waterloo Rd, father John Balne, mariner

Witnesses George Miles and ? ? ?

Ah yes, thanks, Liz - I forgot to mention that I'd also drawn that conclusion from looking at the image!

Thanks very much for the additional info - I will see if I can find more about the father's occupation to confirm, but that looks fairly likely (no mariners in the family, but they did live in the Poole area for some time). I'll get back if/when I find out more.
