I need help please..on finding the parents of John Bay, so that I can continue to trace my direct line in the British Isles (the family have a history of spelling variations of their last name). John Bay was listed as a passenger leaving Gravesend, London port, to be transported to the colony of Norfolk, Virginia age 16 in 1635.

My oldest known ancestor left Gravesend London age 16 in 1635 to the colony of virginia. John Bay is listed on a headright claim by a William Ayres (Eyres) in 1642 in virginia. decendants of John Bay born circa 1619.
