George was the one who immigrated to Australia.  Have you come forward with all the others ?

Yes the siblings are all covered it’s their father George who has me stumped.i know his brother Benjamin ended up a cook in Massacheussettes after leaving the UK. I’m pretty confident the family in Manchester  in 1850 Census is them. Just need confirmation so a marriage or death cert would seal the deal.

Not what you want but interesting to have if you haven't already........death notice for Elizabeth Mellor.

The San Francisco Examiner - 18 December 1933 -

In Alta Mesa Santa Clara Co .,  17 December 1933 - Elizabeth wife of the late George Mellor. Loving mother of Elizabeth B and George Mellor, Sarah J Thompson, Benjamin J Mellor, Marie P Corbell, Margaret L nelson, and Gertrude K Grant - a native of Nova Scotia.

Friend are respectfully invited to attend the funeral Tuesday 19th December at 9 am from Duggans New Funeral Chapel ...........then to Mission Dolores Church where a requeim mass will be offered for the repose of the soul - Interment Holy Cross Cemetery .............

Would it be worth an email to the cemetery to see if George Mellor is also buried there  ???
Nonnie E Mellor, (4 th August 1937) wife of Benjamin J Mellor was also buried Holy Cross Cemetery after a service at St Peters Church.

Looking for any records of George Mellor born to George Mellor & Elizabeth Barnett 1842 Manchester Lancashire UK.  His wife was Elizabeth or Lizzie Kane born 1852 New Brunswick Canada.
Their children Elizabeth,George,Sarah,Benjamin,Mary,Margueritte & Gertrude we’re all born in California Between the years 1870-1885 .
I have been unable to find a marriage or George on any census records in the US .
His wife Lizzie in the 1900 Census says she’s widowed living in Market st SAN Fransisco.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is George & Elizabeth in the 1870 census with daughter Lizzie (b.1869/1870). Also listed is what appears to be Elizabeth's father ? John Kane.  Daughter Lizzie is 4 months old but no month is listed at top of page as to when the census was taken.

They are living in Sacramento. The misspelling of the last name was probaly due to how it was pronounced and what was heard due to accent.
