Any idea on when this was taken? All it says "Mammy" on the back

Yes, I think he is our Maurice, he is the only one that I think could be him. Thanks for looking.
I don't think they were as concerned with what actual age people were in those days! If it is her, that is definitely not my great grandmother in the photo. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for your reply. If it is the 30s, then it isn't her as she doesn't look in her 80s. Still a mystery then.

Seems to be elderly, but not necessarily beyond her 60s. if it helps, I restored the photo and gave it a touch of color to highlight the cane she uses as it may seem familiar, since it wasn't too easy to see in the original photo. Also she seems to be holding a small cloth bag in the same hand.

(a side note: color choices for her outfit are based on a very similar one worn by my great grandmother. Sorry if they don;t seem accurate, but that's almost a perfect representation of what she wore.)

Wow! Thanks Dr Dude, the photo looks amazing. I hadn't noticed the cane, or the bag, until you pointed them out. I'm going to have to do a bit more digging as to who she is.

So glad you're happy with it. I figured pointing out some of those items might help as they were so hard to see in the black and white photo, and they might  appear in other photos, just earlier or later in their life.
