Hi janette,

I don't take decisions for Moderators, I can make suggestions.
Lock one or two, merge two into existing one, merge two into new one..

What's your suggestion?

I'm so grateful for all the work you've all done and everything you've come up with. My cousin Greg (son of James Lawerence) and I want to trace any living cousins we may have) so names of the grandchildren of Joseph, Alice Choat and Ada Rosina would be appreciated. And also names of Joseph's brothers and sisters descendants, we remember socialising with them as kids but have lost touch over the years.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the PM. I’ll look into the issue once I finish work and can use a PC.

I have reviewed the two topics, this one and a second on the Beginners Board:
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=799237.18

Both active topics now run to four pages. Merging them will, as Aghadowey rightly pointed out, result in chaos, which isn't fair to the original poster or to researchers trying to follow the research story.

The best solution seems to be that responders post only to this topic, while the other topic ends with an explanation and re-direction.

Locking the other topic will be be redundant.

I will approach the OP for permission.

This is the journal from the other thread - I did not know there were 2 threads going  ;)
It is the family of JOSEPH COLQUHOUN, his parents, siblings and his wives and how they all intertwine with the other people Gaye was looking for, Charles Alfred Dixon who fathered 5 children with her grandmother Adelaide Leslie Bowyer while he was fathering 9 children with his wife Alice Beatrice Choat and after the death of Charles Dixon, her grandmother Adelaide married Joseph Colquhoun, as his 2nd wife, before Joseph had divorced his 1st wife Ada Rosina Bishop

enjoy Charles Dixon + Alice Choat + Adelaide Bowyer + Joseph Colquhoun + Ada Bishop
