Baptism of George MILLHOUSE Grantham abt 1879
« on: Tuesday 28 August 18 10:10 BST (UK) »
George MILLHOUSE was a son of George MILLHOUSE  & Louisa Lomas STARR married at Grantham 08 Dec 1878.

According to the Census records George was born at Grantham.  His father was a stone mason and so its possible George wasn't baptised at Grantham despite being born there.

I am unable to locate him and hoping for some assistance please.

Birth registration
Dec qtr 1878
George Millhouse STARR  (No mothers maiden name given on GRO index)
Grantham    7a   496

He possibly was not baptised as he appears to have been born before the marriage

Hello again Rosie,

Is his surname given as MILLHOUSE STARR? Or is it STARR with forenames as George Millhouse?

Hi Westy,

I was in Grantham library today and found George Millhouse and Louisa Lomas Starr's marriage on St Wulframs Church Parish records reel 888 sec.1/33 page 75 which says George was a plasterer and his father Alfred was a stonemason.I checked for George Millhouse Starr's baptism on both St Wulframs  records and St John's Spittlegate records but no trace so it depends where Louisa was living before she married as to try and find his baptism (if he was).

Hello Kathy,

That was a really lovely thing to do and many thanks even if there was no baptism.

Very much appreciated.
