Advice Sought
« on: Tuesday 28 August 18 21:30 BST (UK) »
I'm looking a baptism of Susanna Warner.

Timeline of known facts.
1792: Approx Baptism/Christening/Birth.
06-Jun-1815: Marries John Hugkulstone St Martins in the fields.
26-Mar-1831: Baptism aged 39 in Non conformist church (found over the weekend on Ancestry)
11-Feb-1839: Died in Johnsons Place, Middlesex.
20-Feb-1839: Burial Paddington, Middlesex.

Now Susanna died prior to the 1841 census so I cannot used that. There is no clue on the marriage as the witnesses were John Hugkulstone and E Baythorn.

I did a search on freereg and came up this:
https://www.freereg.org.uk/search_queries/5b85a0def493fd4439cc4a50

So how on earth can I find my Susanna Warner's birth?

Many thanks in advance.

Births weren't recorded prior to Civil Registration (July 1837), except sometimes on a baptism register.

However the adult baptism suggests that she wasn't baptised as a child :-\

Does her age at death confirm her age at baptism?

Was Baythorn a "professional" witness?  If not he/she may be a relative.  Are there any London/Middx Baythorn/Warner marriages in the decades preceding 1815?    I'd say look for baps of matching Warners but if non-con you're unlikely to strike lucky, you might find births though.

I have just found the record you mentioned. It is not a baptism it is a burial.

All England & Wales, Non-Conformist and Non-Parochial.
Susanna Warner age 39 (1792) Burial 26 Mar 1831 Spa Fields, London, England.

John & Susanna Hugkulstone had a daughter baptised in 1832.

Maybe the earlier baptisms is Susanna Warner after all?

Clarke, Trickett, Orton, Lawless, Norton, Detheridge, Kirby, Goodfellow, Wagstaff, Lowe, etc.

Good (very early) morning,

Susanna was 51 at time of death which makes her born in 1788 !

So her birth/baptism could be anywhere between 1787 - 1793.

Expanded the freeregsearch:
https://www.freereg.org.uk/search_queries/5b862cf7f493fd4439ce7e86

EDIT: I tried posting this this morning.
The 1831 'baptism' appears to be a burial according to familysearch.
