In 1841 there's a Thomas Acaster age 60 in Beaghall village, Kellington, Pontefract, his occupation has been crossed through. Next to his entry is a 12 year old Jane Acaster.

There's a marriage between a Mary Morton and a Thomas Jackson at St  Giles, Pontefract on 27 July 1829. One witness is Hannah Morton.
In 1841 there is a Thomas Jackson age 34 and Mary Jackson age 40 living at Fishergate, Ferry Fryston, Pontefract, with them is Richard Morton age 12. Could be worth investigating Richard

John Chastney bac married Mary Ann Hawkins sp on 12 sept 1833, wit William Hawkins and Frances Audley.
So it does look like Mary Ann jnr was illegitimate, but James unlikely to be her father, maybe not even John Chastney, as she would have been born some time before he married her mother
