The postcard has a postcode for Mrs Williams therefore it must have been sent between 11 October 1959 and 1974 when postcodes were nationally adopted.

Have check all the electoral registers for Albion Street from that period and cannot see a Mrs Williams recorded, perhaps she was only there for a short period of time.

Have you thought about putting the postcard in a local newspaper to where your grandmother lived?  Ask does anyone recognise the handwriting or know who Margaret Williams was.

You will need to include your grandmother's name as it may help in making a connection.

I would request that both sides of the card are printed.

Was Derby Road significant to someone, Minette perhaps?

Just had a memory jog, my grandparents would holiday on the Isle of Mann and would stay at the same guest house. It's landlady had supposed to have swam the channel (?) sea in her life time. Perhaps "Auntie" is the former landlady and Mrs Williams was a friend who had holidays there also.
Yes I'm grasping at straws! ::)

Anything you remember is worth checking.  Do you know the name of the guest house?  Douglas is the main town there.

Got any photos of them staying in the Isle of Man?
