Beginning some research in Belgium
« on: Friday 31 August 18 07:28 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Would anyone have recommendations for online resources for researching Belgian records? My first time stepping into this country for research.

Thanks!

Hi,
I've done quite a bit of research on my wife's family in Belgium and have found the following useful:

https://search.arch.be/nl/zoeken-naar-personen
https://nl.geneanet.org
https://www.openarch.nl
https://www.stamboomzoeker.nl/

Do you know which region/place you are looking at? e.g. Land van Waas has a website - https://www.familiekunde-landvanwaas.be/

Regards
Paul

Don't overlook the link to Family Search that I posted above. As well as searching the databases by name there are also records to browse through as well as information on searching for Belgian ancestors.
