Death of John Boshell
« on: Friday 31 August 18 11:17 BST (UK) »
Could someone advise me on the best way to obtain a death cert. For John Boshell either 1852 or 1855.5, Bow Street Dublin.?

if he was Church of Ireland then there might be a burial record, St. Michan's looks the closest. Also worth checking Glasnevin cemetery and Mountjerome

Hi

Irishgenealogy.ie has:-

DUBLIN (COI), Parish/Church/Congregation - ST. NICHOLAS WITHOUT
Burial of JOHN BOSHELL of NEW ST on 23 January 1812

Know this is before the era you're after, but thought you might like to have it.

Cheers

E mailed Glasnevin and had an immediate :) reply from Lynn Brady giving me grave details for John Boshell. Buried 28/3/1855 grave 1b 5 Garden section.

Unfortunately she tells me they do not have any info. re informant, relatives etc. :(
It must be entered somewhere. Any ideas?

She informs me that if  visit I will be able to see the grave!
I am not going anywhere at the moment. I am sitting with a very bruised and battered knee replacement! 8)

Why should it 'be entered somewhere'? If they didn't record the details then it won't be there. All the cemetery needed to record was the name, date of burial and plot.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
