My friend found the death recorded on Ancestry. See attachment.

I can't see from that image what database it's from, but I highly suspect it's the Social Security Death Index.  If she clicks on it, she will see that the reference to District of Columbia is where June's Social Security number was issued in 1956, rather than where the death occurred.
