Thanks for that. However it brings me full circle with James Holmes. In the above case father Joseph, mason. In his second marriage to Jane Wood Dalmer 10/11/1879 St Stephens Burmantofts Leeds father is John Holmes, mason.

Thought I found Elizabeth Burns birth and Baptism, 4/1/1834 St Anthony Liverpool, father Thomas, mother Harriet Evans. But in 1871 census though living Liverpool she's born Sheffield.

Still stuck on father of James Holmes.....
