How to convert a .gft file
« on: Saturday 01 September 18 20:51 BST (UK) »
Ray - another Brentford fan here (!)....I've been trawling the web to try to find out how I can convert a .gft file I have into something more useful and saw your name pop up a couple of times.  Could you let me know how you managed it?  Cheers, Mark

Hi Mark,

Of course a Wealdstone supporter does not mind assisting a Brentford supporter.      ;D ;D

Make 2 more posts ( just post "ok Watford are better" twice )  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

This will open up the PM system for you.
Then I can message you, and you can reply, to my message.

But for the sake of getting this file translated I'm prepared to grudgingly admit it!

Ray

Good win today Ray  ;D

Well blow me , I too have supported Stones for many years,( was born there).
My parents used to attend the Saturday night dances at Lower Mead in the 50's and 60's.

I have school friends who are part of the long time supporters club.

And hubby's PE master (Arthur Peel RIP) played for them in the 60's.

Smal world eh?

Are there still people around here who are able to convert .gft files to a Gedcom file so I can take it elsewhere?

I've got two files my Mum had started compiling in the early 2000s with version 2 of GSP Family Tree. I'm trying to hunt down software on eBay and Amazon that would let me open them but it's uphill work with people putting incomplete or inaccurate descriptions on things.
