Are the schools in question still in existence?  If so perhaps you could consider writing to them and ask about old photos.

Otherwise you could try the local history or county archives, assuming the schools are in the UK.

Have you tried asking on the Birmingham History Forum?

http://birminghamhistory.co.uk/forum/index.php

As the period of interest is within living memory, there's a good chance that somebody there may be able to help.

ETA There's a section on schools with topics about both the ones you mentioned.  And photos!

Hi
You can try Facebook - as lots of people share memories and photos.

I found two pics within about 2 seconds of searching:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1177026819016145/photos/

You'll need to search through the photo's or just read the postings... there's a picture of 'Clifton Road Junior School Balsall Heath Birmingham' and another pic titled 'Dennis Road Board School, Balsall Heath - 1896 by Martin & Chamberlain Now Anderton Park School Dennis Road Balsall Heath Birmingham Grade 2 Listed Building '

I’ve been on the Birmingham History forum and have seen the threads you mentioned. They don’t have any of the specific years I’m looking for unfortunately.
I’m also a member on the above mentioned Facebook group

Have you tried posting a request on those threads, or contacting any of the posters?
