« on: Friday 07 September 18 11:59 BST (UK) »
Trying to find out any details about a trouper in Life guards
I have his number he was supposedly  based in Pirbright Camp Brookwood Surrey Thats what it says his Profession was according to marriage certificate in 1951in Eton Buckinghamshire
He however left his wife soon after my friend was born in 1951in Eton
She would like to find out what happened to him It was thought he was from North of Engand I obviously have his name and his fathers
I have searched the 1939 records as I have his birth year but cant find a match Any ideas about tracing him with a army number Thanks

Army records after 1920 are still with the MOD.   You would need his death certificate to get them.

Have you looked for a likely remarriage or possible death? You don't indicate what his age was in 1951 so possible he is still alive, in which case you won't be able to apply for his military records.

He was born in 1930 so could still be alive
I sent for a death cert of a same name and age gentleman who died in 1960 in Buckinghamshire He was working as a Kitchen man in a hotel

The informant was his sister Cant find her on records either but there are rather a lot of the same lame in London
