found a record on ancestry William Thomson from, peterhead , death 21-3-18 france and flanders , 5th gordons

Sorry, don't know if you are still looking for detail of this entry but if you do think this is your person, the Gordon Highlanders Museum in Aberdeen may be able to give some information.   Also, if you look up Forces War Records https://www.forces-war-records.co.uk/search-military-records    you may find him - I have found a record for my great uncle, which gives my great grandfather as next of kin, so I can identify any related information.  I had a monthly subscription for these records but it has expired now.  Worthwhile if you have a few people you would like to research.
