Annie Broadhurst
« on: Friday 07 September 18 20:40 BST (UK) »
I am seeking information that will lead me to the parents of an Annie Broadhurst born 17th June 1884 in Birmingham. She married a Samuel Herbert Hind in 1908. In 1901 she’s living in Birmingham working for a household by the name of Shaw as a servant aged 16. In 1891 she’s living in Birmingham with her grandmother Mary Anne Broadhurst (widow, born 1825) and her aunt Elizabeth Broadhurst (born 1866)

I did search the indexes but it did not give me the mother’s maiden name. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

GRO online index shows no mother’s maiden name, suggesting illegitimacy.  The birth certificate would tell you who her mother was, but probably not her father.

Why do you say that Elizabeth Broadhurst in 1891 is her aunt? Presumably she could be her mother, unless you have evidence otherwise?

Did she name a father when she got married?

The 1891 census isn't very clear re Elizabeth.  Transcribed as daughter but could be read as niece  :-\
Possible death for Elizabeth in 1897 age 31.

As suggested it's best to get the birth certificate then at least you can confirm who her mother was  :)
