Ada Jones/Frank Bebbington

Hi,

I seem to have hit a brick wall in finding these people - can anyone help?

Ada Jones was born c1880 in Haslington, Cheshire , a daughter of Henry Jones and Emma Davies.
Frank Bebbington was born c1884, son of William Bebbington. They married in Crewe in 1912 but then seem to disappear off the radar. 

Any ideas would be most welcome. thank you for looking

I can't promise this is your man, but could they have emigrated?

I think your birth years could be a little out.

However, looks like Frank Bebbington killed in WW1 on 31/10/1918 - registers of soldiers effects show widow was an Ada and that there was a son Harry (born 11/12/1914).

Ada remarried to a Fred Badrock in 1919.

BEBBINGTON m JONES is not as rare as I had hoped!
FreeBMD has (among several others) 4 births in Prescot, Lancs: Maria (Sep 1912), Thomas (Sep 1914 d Jun 1915), Harry (Mar 1915), Ruth (Sep 1917) who may or may not all be William and Ada's children.

Ada remarried to a Fred Badrock in 1919.

Two possible deaths for Ada BADROCK - both in Crewe: Jun qtr 1938 age 62, Mar qtr 1952 age 64.  Neither match the presumed birth year of c1880 but ages given on censuses and death registrations are not always accurate.  It's always best to get the birth details from GRO (which has mother's maiden name to help).

BEBBINGTON F, Gunner 160997, 13 Siege Bty, Royal Garrison Artillery.  Died 31/10/1918.  Buried Delsaux Farm Cemetery, Beugny, Pas de Calais, France, grave I.A.19.

Hi,

Thanks for your interest.

There is nothing I can see for either of them n the 1939 register nor can I find evidence of them emigrating.

I think Frank's birth is probably the one in Northwich (June Qtr 1884), him being age 28 when he married Ada in 1912.
