same family as jorose posted in reply 4. That Griffith is a clerk on the 1881 census and born Nefin (1881 transcription on FamilySearch is incorrect) and the one married to Mary Ann Ashcroft is a boilermaker and born Liverpool. So are these the same man?

Thank you to everyone helping me with more information of Griffith Williams. I`m still not getting anywhere. The reason being I don`t have much information to go on and all the older relatives are long gone. there are two Griffith Williams....1863...and 1865. One with a Father called John and one with Thomas. My Great Grandad`s Father was called John, but I have never heard anyone mention his middle name Robert, and to complicate matters both Mother`s are called Elizabeth. I have ordered a Marriage Certificate to see if that gives anymore clues..... I do remember that either my Great Grandad or my G.G Grandad stole some sugar and went on a (convict ship at Conway, North Wales).  :o that`s all I know.
