south african records

I have a number of family ancestors that moved from Brierfield/Nelson area of Lancashire in the early part of the 20th century to South Africa and i cannot find a site that as complete BMD records on for South Africa, i have been on Ancestry and Find my past with no success does anyone have any ideas were i could look.

You could try Family Search.  Not a complete coverage, but fairly extensive.

 
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!

NAAIRS is my first port of call for South Africa. Not BMDs per se but there are other records

I have had very good results by asking South African Roots Chatters for help. Publish your question and see what happens.
