Poulton cum spital hospital 1950
« on: Wednesday 12 September 18 00:36 BST (UK) »
Hi I’m new to this site 👋🏻 and I’m looking for as much information as I can find on Poulton cum Spital Hospital around 1950.
⭐️What type of hospital was it?
⭐️Was it just for unmarried mums looking to adopt?
⭐️Do you know anyone who was a patient there?
⭐️Do you know anyone who worked there during this time that would be prepared to answer a few questions that could help a family find closure?
All help and info gratefully received 🙏🏻

Hi, A11YGE, further to the link that Rosinish posted on which I commented. This is some additional information as requested in your post.
Poulton cum Spital Hospital was the postal address of Clatterbridge Hospital. It was a large General Hospital which included a Maternity Hospital.
The Maternity Hospital provided services to expectant mothers from a large area of the Wirral. It was not isolated to just unmarried mothers.
I doubt that there will be many still alive who worked there in 1950. There might be. However, if you are looking for a particular person, that could be very difficult for someone to remember. There is also the issue of Patient Confidentiality. Are you looking for a birth mother?
Added, please do not include any details of living people. This is against Rootschat policy.
