I can't find a death record for Florence DUFRENE.
There is a death record on January 13th 1812 in Tilques in the name of Marie Corentine Florentine DUFRESNE, 40 years old, wife Jacques Joseph DUCROCQ, 38 years old.
She died the day before.
She was a native of Aix-en-Ergny.
Daughter of the late Noël DUFRESNE and the late Marie Antoinette MATOREL

A Joseph DUCROCQ, 23 years old, was a witness at the birth of Claudine Joseph

Marie Catherine Florentine DUFRESNE married Jacques Joseph DUCROCQ, a widower, in Tilques on January 17th 1810.

According to her marriage record, she was born on February 22th, 1772 in Aix-en-Ergny.

No proof so far, that she is the same as Florence DUFRENE.

Her widower remarried in 1812 with Marie Jacqueline Françoise HOYEZ. In the marriage record (26/10/1812), his former wife is mentioned as the late Florentine Joseph DUFRESNE.

We can assume that her given name was Florentine.

She gave birth to a son, Jean Baptiste DUCROCQ around 1810

I am one of the people searching for the elusive Clotilde and her family. Thank you all for your research and particularly tancort who started with questions. I’m grateful to the two people who have gone to the trouble of researching the query.

Clotilde is my GGGrandmother.

Q1. I am wondering how we can now obtain copies of the marriage certificate and the birth certificates of their children in France. They had two more children in France and then 3 more in England.

Q2. I’m also wondering how we could get birth/death certificates for Clotilde’s parents?

Q3. I’m also wondering why Clotilde would be Claudine on her marriage certificate to George and then ‘Clotilde’ in other records?

This has been a brick wall for our family for so long - we had almost given up!

Thanks to all for assistance.

Q1 Follow the links given in the previous posts or use this one http://www.archivespasdecalais.fr/Archives-en-ligne/Histoire-d-une-personne/Etat-civil and search for the records

Q2 Read the previous posts

Q3 We can't know for sure. The two given names sound alike and she probably liked Clotilde better.
