Penultimate line after the worsted stockings "duo ? & tres dozen tobackoe pipes"

I'd say it's got to be noun of some sort - the other entries give an amount  - like 'tres dozen', 'duo girdles' and 'octo paire of silke stockings'.
and this one is duo (2) something.
Fans and silk stockings?  :)

fanns .... I agree with Xin....   ::)  of course, of course,  fanns ... well as to what are fanns ...    I shrug my shoulders, knowing that Xin will get to the nitty gritty...

I hope the proper answer is here sooooooooooon   .... afterall it is after eight o'clock in the evening here ... and I don't have a clue... fanns ....
