I am sure you will enjoy your visit xin.

Piece of historical information - Robert The Bruce is buried in the Abbey (him of Bannockburn fame) but his heart is buried in Melrose Abbey. Hope you manage a visit to the Abbey it is a beautiful building and other Scottish Kings are buried here too.

I love chasing dead rellies too. Sometimes I think my O/H thinks I am mad dragging him round graveyards.

My late mum's family were all "Fifers" from the east of the Kingdom - Kirkcaldy to St Andrews.

Where are you going to stay? Will you manage a visit to Edinburgh?

Anyway enjoy your visit and happy rellie hunting.

We are just going for 4 days and staying in a little apartment in Mill Hill street.

So will definitely visit the Abbey and lots of other places marked on our list.

Hopefully fit in a quick trip to Edinburgh.. do hope so.

excited

That is wonderful xin have you got a plan of the cemetery too? They can be awkward to search most times.

Which one is it?

the address I have been dealing with is:

Dunfermline Crematorium

Masterton Road

Dunfermline

Is there more than this Cemetary?

It was the lady in charge here that has given me the Lair numbers.   she advised that the 'workers' are always around and we just have to ask them for directions..

However I did find a Cemetary online just now that I intend to investigate a little more..

As far as I am aware there is only 1 actually in Dunfermline at Robertson Road called Dunfermline Cemetery.

It is very helpful when there are staff around as finding the grave number can be difficult.

Happy hunting

Have a great time - happy hunting and I hope you managed to get to Edinburgh.  I've never been, I always think it sounds a fascinating place.

Have fun!
