John Phillips
« on: Wednesday 19 September 18 17:12 BST (UK) »
Hi I am trying to find the death of John Phillips my 3 x great grandad born in Warwickshire in 1852.
The family moved to Birmingham and the last census he was with his wife was 1891 was heath mill lane  in birmingham. He was living with harriet selana phillips  his wife , albert Phillips, Samuel Phillips, John Phillips his sons  and Harriet selina, Ann phillips and Elizabeth his daughter.  In 1901 he is not with Harriet  but he maybe a border with a family called Chandler in Birmingham.  It looks like the Chandler were his employers as he was a metal roller.  I've got marriages for Albert 1893, Harriet 1898 I think  and these say John Phillips as father . However Annie who married Harry wenspur in 1910 states John as being Dec.
Could you possibly look for me
Thanjs
Kath

Was Harriet shown as married or widowed in 1901?  What is her marital status in 1911?

Have you looked for a death on freebmd for John?

You need to find Harriet in 1901.  If she is a widow then John died between 1891 and 1901 census

I can not see anything for Harriet.  I think Annie was a servant in 1901 aged 14

Are you sure you have the right Harriet in 1911?  In 1891 there are 2 Phillips familes both headed by a John & Harriet

Your Harriet was b 1854 Birmingham on the 1891 entry.  There is an 1894 death in B’ham for a 44yr old Harriet Phillips
