Parish Register of Deaths
« on: Friday 21 September 18 20:00 BST (UK) »
Hi

I have just looked up the births of siblings in the births section of the old Parish Records in case there is any interesting info in the witnesses.

Christina McIntosh was born 1837 in Inverness, she does not appear in the either of the next two census with her family so I tried looking for a death.  The only deaths that I can see listed in the Inverness area are in Petty - is there a missing register?

TIA

It has been estimated that a third of the parishes don’t have any surviving Old Parish Register death and burial records.

Parish registers of death and burial were very inconsistently kept

Burials/deaths are always particularly hard to find info on pre 1855  :-\
