Brockley - St. Peter's College
« on: Sunday 23 September 18 14:04 BST (UK) »
This may be Kent rather than London but I wasn't too sure.

I am researching men of the HAC who died during WW1.  One of these attended "St. Peter's College, Brockley".  I have found the church in Wickham Road, London SE4 but can't find any details on the school/college so have assumed it no longer exits.  Can anyone tell me where it was or provide a brief history on it?  Many thanks.

According to newspapers in 1894  St. Peter's College,  54, Manor Road, Brockley was a High School for Girls.

In the Kentish Mercury - Friday 01 March 1895 in the results for the London University Matriculation Exam there is an Albert Henry Alois Hegewald, of St. Peter's College, Brockley, so they seem to have started taking boys.
