A bit of googling and I have found that It is listed as Carrignaveigh, Cork

http://census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Cork/Cork_Urban_No__4/Carrignaveigh/

House 2 appears to be the Laundry for the adult women and House 3, the industrial school

Heywood tks looked at the link but these are all older children The child I am looking for was born 1898 and as I can find no trace of her in either census I thought this establishment may be a possibility as she was born to a single mother

It's listed in the form as a prison but it doesn't actually seem to be.

In the 1911 census it actually shows the nuns house as good sheppard convent.
The 1901 list of the children is St Finbars industrial school for girls.

There are other mother and baby homes in Cork city
