Hi Isabel H & Ian,

Many thanks for your replies and assistance, very much appreciated.

Isabel H, many thanks for the clarifications re the occupation on Peder's death cert & the searches for his birth that you have undertaken, very much appreciated.

Ian, many thanks for the 1871 census for Peder, very much appreciated.

Is this Peder's parents (Jens Mortensen & Caroline Hansdatter) marriage do you think?

Marriage Entry: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FKHD-N62

Original image: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-L9Z6-N3DX?i=578

Its number 6 on the page (second one down), took me ages to identify which one it was on the page! ::)

Unfortunately my knowledge of Danish geography is all but nil!, hence my question re the marriage.

I haven't been able to locate the family on Danish censuses either, frustratingly enough!

My thanks again for all assistance so far, its very much appreciated.

Kind regards

David

This is a Peder Jensen b 1842 Grenaa/Grenå, but he may not be the right one. He is a ropemaker's apprentice in 1860.

This could well be him.

Hi
I had a little help with these records.

Peder and Susan left England for France sometime in the 1880s. They ended up in Hellerup, Denmark in 1895. And then moved to Kongens Lyngby
in 1905.

1901 - Census - Peder and Susan - Hellerup Parish:
http://ao.sa.dk/ao/data.ashx?bid=2815823

1911 - Census - Peder and Susan - Kongens Lyngby Parish:
http://ao.sa.dk/ao/data.ashx?bid=12806711 - nr 84 - same address as on death record.

1874 - Birth - Ane - Melby Parish:
http://ao.sa.dk/ao/data.ashx?bid=25611673 - nr 9 - maybe adopted

I cannot find a death for Susanna Elizabeth Jensen in Copenhagen.
I wonder if this is her death record in Surrey. This Susanna E. Jenson was born in 1847:

Hi Ian,

Wow, incredible! Many thanks indeed for all these records, absolutely brilliant!

What is/are the source(s) for their movements to France & then the two Denmark moves please?

Susannah/Susan's father owned & ran a bootmaking business in the Burlington Arcade in London with a branch in Paris. I wonder if the Paris branch is where they went in the 1880s?

A police register! Did he get into trouble?

The death death record for Susanna E Jensen that you found is indeed the correct one. She must have returned after Peder's death. She died two and a half weeks before her 73rd birthday, dying on the 7th May 1919 in Barnes, Surrey & being born on the 24th May 1846.

My grateful thanks again.

Kind regards

David
