Hi Ian,

Whoops, having now looked at the records themselves, I can see that the answers to my two questions are:

What is/are the source(s) for their movements to France & then the two Denmark moves please?

It would appear that the details are on the censuses & the police register.

A police register! Did he get into trouble?

If I am reading it correctly, not in any trouble but having to register with the authorities in this case the police when moving into and out of the area. Have I read it correctly?

In future, perhaps I should look at documents first before asking daft questions! ::) ;D My excuse is that I got excited at what you had posted & got ahead of myself & posted before actually looking at the documents! ;D

My grateful thanks again anyway.

Kind regards

David

No worries and you are correct about the police register.

Here are the source books for the censuses.

Also, I believe the Peder from Grenå we have here is the same Peder in Copenhagen and London.

Hi Ian,

Many thanks for the links to the source books for the censuses, very much appreciated.

I agree with you that the Peder in all three places is definitely the same man.

My thanks again.

Kind regards

David
