Looking for information on these two his birth and her death and anything further back of course.  I can only find one son as their off-spring?  I do have information going forward although I don't know John's wife's  surname, Jane ?

According to the parish register, the 1618 marriage was at Thursley, not Oxted. They are about 40 miles apart. Perhaps you have two different FINCH families here?

Thanks for the additional names of their children and I will look at the possibility of their being a first marriage for him with the child before they married.

Thanks for the information on where they married.  It is of course quite possible that I have two families mixed up and I will follow up on this.
